New improved FlexiPaste – the most flexible flower paste, ever!
FlexiPaste is a starch-based speciality flower paste developed by Sugarin, in collaboration with Chef Nicholas Lodge, has been further improved to mix with Maxima Flower Paste.
A feature of FlexiPaste is its flexibility which can last for at least a Month.
A key advantage, unlike most other flower and gum pastes that can quickly become dry and brittle, is that FlexiPaste is easier to use when it comes to wiring and arranging flowers due to its extended working time. Final setup should be less stressful. The measurable benefit is that FlexiPaste flowers should take less time to make with a reduced risk of breakage.
FlexiPaste can be used on its own but has been made to be mixed with Sugarin Maxima Flower Paste. Maxima was developed by Dr Reshma Soni, co-founder of Sugarin, to provide humidity resistance and stretchability, then was extensively tested and refined with feedback from Angela Henderson over more than 2 years
The benefit of adding (or conditioning) Maxima with FlexiPaste is the additional humidity tolerance that Maxima provides which can, depending on the preferred mix for your environment, significantly reduce the risk of your flowers flopping.
Angela generally uses the following proportions:
Dry conditions – 50% Maxima/50% FlexiPaste.
+ Humidity - 70% Maxima/30% FlexiPaste.
++ Humidity - 85% Maxima/15% FlexiPaste.
You will need to refine your mix proportions to match your own unique environment.

We recommend an affordable Humidity Sensor is used to accurately gauge environmental conditions throughout the seasons.
